• Age requirement: the age must be less than 21 years for applicants for a bachelor’s degree, less than 30 years for a master’s degree, and less than 35 years for a Ph.D.

• Nationality requirement: holders of all nationalities are entitled to apply, except for the holder of Turkish citizenship

• GPA requirement: the student’s average must not be less than 90% for faculties of medicine and pharmacy, 70% for faculties of scientific branches, and 75% for master’s and doctoral students

• Language condition: If the student wishes to study in English, he must obtain an international language certificate (TOEFL or IELTS), but to study in Turkish, a certificate is not required.

• Secondary certificate for those applying for a bachelor’s degree or a university certificate for master’s students. In the event that the student has not completed his current educational stage, a transcript must be presented proving that he will graduate for the year

As for the admission stages, they are as follows:

1. Initial Assessment: All applications are screened against basic criteria such as minimum academic achievement, age limits set for each education level, and required documents

Expert assessment: Applications from qualified candidates are considered by the expert panel in terms of various criteria such as academic status, previous qualifications, academic interests, professional goals, the content of LOI, and participation in social activities. After this stage, the final list of qualified candidates is determined for the interview process

3. Test phase: A 30-question test that includes mathematics, geometry, and reasoning questions is conducted for undergraduate candidates before face-to-face interviews are conducted by the relevant committee.

Pre-interview tests are also conducted in order to assess candidates applying in the fields of health sciences and engineering in fields that receive more applications than other disciplines. There are also tests for applicants in the field of social sciences.

The exam includes questions that require explanations, which will be provided in Turkish and English and questions that do not require translation. Since English language resources are frequently used in core courses in health, science, and engineering programs in Turkey like in many other countries around the world, applicants are expected to appear in these Domains with A sufficient level of English to be able to understand and respond to test questions.

Although the test takes into account the educational curricula of different countries, the questions have been developed in line with the Turkish curriculum so university candidates who will study in Turkey are expected to be familiar with the essence of the Turkish curriculum.

Face-to-face interviews will take place on the same day as the test, and candidates will be informed of the date of the test and interview.

Candidates will have 60 minutes to complete the 30-question test.

4. Interview stage: The shortlisted candidates from more than 100 countries are evaluated by interview committees made up of academics and experts. The interview usually takes 15-30 minutes, and takes place as follows:

• Welcome and Entrance

• Document Checking

• Purpose of the candidate’s application

• Academic knowledge and professional goals

• Final questions for the committee

• Candidates invited for the interview must bring all documents and certificates of their most recent education completed to the interview.

5. Final evaluation stage: the results of interviews with applicants conducted by the interview committees are evaluated by the selection committee and a list of applicants who will receive scholarships is created. At this stage, the general eligibility of the candidate for Turkish scholarships is evaluated.
